Yeah, 5 degrees or more every day plus lower humidities. And 10 minutes away from 75F degrees. I wouldn't complain either if I lived up there. But I DON'T! But its been awfully quiet here--is anybody riding?

Faster doesn't seem to help me when its 95F and 50% humidity. I am a certified heat wuss. Ed are you still commuting to work at the dealer? Hows the biz treating you?

Haven't worked there in several months, other than occasionally filling-in when someone was out sick... been 'way too busy with cruise stuff, which I had expected to drop off in March. From what I've heard their business has picked up a fair bit, but I can make more here every week in my pj's than I can at the showroom. Bandit is back on the road, been riding it around a bit... calmed the engine down somewhat for longevity's sake, but it's still very strong. The other two are just gas-and-go reliable.

Travel-agent stuff, Brick... I'm an independent affiliated with Avoya Travel: http://www.AvoyaTravel.com...so I have several dozen cruise lines (all of the mass-market/premium/luxury companies), bunches of resorts (Sandals, ClubMed, etc etc) as well as tour operators... I can put you just about anywhere on the planet It isn't glamorous money (yet- but getting better) and the hours take over your life but it's fun... if you bust your ass the cruise lines treat you well; I've been doing a lot with http://www.PGcruises.com so I'm going to Tahiti next March for 'waaay under the regular fare

Whoa! My problem with any tour is... well the cost and I want to bumble around myself. I get more appreciation out of doing it myself. I don't need or want the 4 star rooms or meals or drink. If I went on a boat cruise with all the food I would weigh a ton when I got home. My 20 days riding the alps last summer including air fare and bike rental cost me $4,200.00.

Got a wild hare to urn a vacation day late Wednesday night and rode up to Tazewell VA and Beyond. Good day in the high country; lower temps, less humid. Barely broke a sweat most of the day. This weekend looks brutal. I may trailer the Priller up to Boone Sunday and launch north from there??

That last pic is a classic of the anvil-top of a mesoscale thunderstorm--neat how the setting sun illuminates it. What a great vantage point to watch it from too.

Well this was the fourth annual but there is talk of doing two next year... All attendees must be MSTA members. But if you pay the event fee and have never been an MSTA member you'll get a free one year membership. [THUMBS UP SIGN]

Well, it IS a really cool pic. You see how the top is skewed way over to the right? That indicates the direction of movement and it is most likely spewing hail stones out the top of that part. Thats why pilots are taught to stay a minimum of 25 miles from thunderstorms. I'd love to see the original, if its higher rez---Brick, do you have that? You rarely see this view from the ground and the sun lighting it up is a real bonus.
