Rode with a couple of friends from App State, Jared and Brian, up 126 to NC 80 then grabbed the parkway to Mt Mitchell. Gorgeous weather everywhere except for the 50 degree fog hanging at the top of the mountain. Grabbed a few nice shots today as well along the parkway. Called it quits after about 135 miles because I was tired and getting a little sloppy with my turns. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Howard and I actually got out for a bit yesterday too. We didn't get started until 12:00 then got a call for help from a friend with a battery problem. Went to help but could work and voodoo on the battery. On our way at 1:00. Since Howard lives in Columbus, Ohio (flat land) and is going to ride the Alps with me in July I wanted to get him some practice on hairpin curves. I took him down to ride White Oak and Skyuka Mtn roads. Then we hit Green River cove Rd up. Got him some good practice for sure! We got back 12 minutes late for the scheduled meeting with Patricia at JD's Smokehouse in Rutherfordcollage. OMG the Brisket is to kill for! We took Howard there last year at this time and all he could say was he has been waiting a year to get back here for more! Best I've ever had!
I must be out riding my Super Teneré'!

The last 2 times I've taken visitors up to Mt Mitchell it's been clouded in just like that...couldn't see a thing.
