Sena SMH10If anyone is considering upgrading their Sena to the new, latest and greatest unit just out: I would like to purchase your old Sena SMH10. I can't justify spending the big bucks on the new one as my Autocom still works fine but, given an opportunity, would like to try the "bluetooth" tech. I guess I'm just "cheap".
Re: Sena SMH10I would love to have the new one but don't have the $$ to do it. I suppose if I sold my old one a new one would seem less expensive.
However, what I would want out of the new one would be the ability to connect with more friends who have them. So if I'm the only one with the new unit it doesn't change much. [FLUSHED FACE] Brick

Re: Sena SMH10But you would be able to "connect" to me, a new user. Doesn't the 20S connect to all bluetooth users no matter what make or model?
Re: Sena SMH10I'm going to get one of the new version Sena's if I can get it to work with the bluetooth Motorola MU350R GMRS radio. Word on the street is that it's a non-starter but we'll see. I want to maintain GMRS comms and it needs to be simple and reliable like my current wired setup.
Re: Sena SMH10
Interesting--wasn't aware of the BT model from Motorola. Pair it up with Brick's Sena and see how it works. Might need an aux PTT button.... Hey Brick, if you decide to sell your Sena, start an auction for it right here--I might be interested in it for my dirt bike's system. Bob
Re: Sena SMH10Lee, maybe it will work just pairing it direct to the SMH10 headset--not using the SR10 at all.....

Re: Sena SMH10Brick/Broz/Don/Ed/etc--are you guys aware that the Sena "universal intercom" feature is now downloadable for the SMH10's? That puts you in touch with any other make of BT out there that supports the HFP profile.

Re: Sena SMH10Bob, No SR10...it has to pair and work directly with the headset or I'm not interested. You're 1st response hit on the current issue...PTT. There's no bluetooth solution but I think it might be possible to do a wired PTT and still maintain the pairing between headset and radio.
Re: Sena SMH10
Mount the radio where you could hit its PTT with your thumb while riding.....although I'm not sure where that place might be, lol. Doesn't Motorola offer a wired PTT for many of their consumer radios? Edit: chk this one out-->> http://www.buytwowayradios.com/products ... ptt-1.aspx I also think you could wire it yourself--one of the guys who used to ride with us did just that. He turned the high-beam flasher button into a PTT on his Bandit, for his Motorola GMRS. Said it was simple. Bob
Re: Sena SMH10I ordered the Motorola MU350R radio. Experiments will begin when it delivers.
