So I got up this morning and was really “Jonesing” for a ride! Rain was forecast for around 2:00 and the temps down here were supposed to be close to 90. At 8:30AM it was 76 and beautiful at my house so I quickly threw on my riding gear and hit the road. By the time I gassed up at the Gate it was almost 80 degrees so up 181 I went. It was sooo nice up on Jonas Ridge… 69 degrees! [THUMBS UP SIGN] I rode near Banner Elk, Boone, Blowing Rock and tried to get lunch at the Hampton General store at Linville but they are only open Thursday thru Sunday. I ended up eating lunch at Christa’s. I left Christa’s around 12:30 under threatening sky. Before I got to Jonas Ridge it was pouring… yes I got wet! I saw blue sky but it was further away than I thought.
I ended up with a 125 mile ride and wet smiles! [FISTED HAND SIGN]
