Today, Thurs. June 7, we rode. Brushy Mtn Rd (forget it!!), NC18 to Sparta. 18 is a really fun ride, esp the 13 miles from Laurel Springs to Sparta. Almost forgot, Scott and I swapped bikes for the jaunt from Wilkesboro to Sparta--the FJ09 is a wicked little devil!
Lunch at the Mexican spot there (Mis Arados), and the Huevos con Chorizo was very tasty.
Then we headed north up 21 and hopped on Comers Rock Rd and a few more that I had connected together, that culminated on Old NC16 heading into Jefferson ( a fun road in its own right). From there we headed south and jumped on the BRP down to 181 into Morganton and a romp down Old 18 (of course).
The Virginia farm country makes for a relaxing laid back kinda ride. Scenes like this were the norm. You shudda been there!
