Mexico is closer but kinda blah compared to this.

As in all Latin American countries, there are checkpoints along the road where you will be required to show identification and papers for the vehicle you are driving. We will provide you with everything you need to quickly pass these checkpoints Above all, you will not be asked for a bribe or a shake down or for a "tip."
