Weekend rides starting out in the Mtns

Unread postby tireatr » Wed Feb 28, 2018 12:46 pm

As I have eluded to in the recent past on some posts, I have been building a new mtn place in Little Switzerland. It's purpose is to enjoy riding from higher, cooler elevations and to share this with friends. I wanted to gauge interest from you guys for a Friday-Sunday sometime in May or August. June is full and Brick has the HSTA ride July 20-22. There are some great roads North and West of Yancey/Mitchell county, but you need to start off from there or they are out of reach from Charlotte.

We have beds for 4, 5 if someone takes the top bunk in the spare Br. More if you can do a new comfy couch or air mattress. We have a garage for bikes, all the creature comforts you will need. Just bring yourself and clothes for a few days. Dinner can be cooked there or we can head over to the LS Inn or to Spruce Pine and dine at the Knife and Fork. Many options to consider, but I wanted to throw this out there.

What an interesting possibility and wonderful offer.

I would love to see your home/facility and think I would be interested!

May 11 -13th and 25 - 27th are the weekends in May that would work for me.

August so far is wide open.

All these dates can change at anytime obviously.

Being that I only live 45 miles from Little Switzerland it's only a fun hour ride away for me anyway.

Thanks for the offer! My home in Lenoir is at the base of the mountains so range isn't an issue, but I'll meet you some time for a ride and to check out your place.
