Re: Oh---a MOVIE!My guess is its a buncha koolaid-slurping beemerphiles riding a buncha R1200GS's to Starbucks. And then discussing adventure riding while they sip their latte's.

Re: Oh---a MOVIE!I'm thinking about the IDBDR and I've seen a couple of trailers for Backcountry Discovery Route videos (they charge money for all of them). It's a half dozen guys riding matching GS's, with more matching Klim and Touratech gear and identical standing-on-the-pegs-at-all-times technique. Yes, it's pretty gay (not that there's anything wrong with that).
You can click on the "Watch Trailer" link for a sample here. https://vimeo.com/ondemand/idbdr
Re: Oh---a MOVIE!
Damn Lee, I think you nailed it! One guy was still standing on the pegs when he rode up to the restaurant in town lol. But that route does look interesting--challenging but not difficult--looks like my kinda ride. Bob
Re: Oh---a MOVIE!If you'd like to see 600 lbs and $20,000+ of bike and gear bite the dust click the "Watch Trailer" for the Colorado BDR. https://vimeo.com/ondemand/cobdr
Re: Oh---a MOVIE!One of the bikes that went down... the blue one was a Yamaha Super Tenere. Not $20,000.
