2013 CB500F for sale

Unread postby PirateRiderBen » Thu Mar 10, 2016 6:51 pm

Selling the hooligan bike. 47 of the most fun horsepower you'll ever ride. 415 pounds soaking wet. 55-65mpg, 4.2 gallon tank. Never wrecked or dropped.

Yoshi frame sliders
Oxford intelligent heated grips
Givi fly screen
Tech spec tank grip pads
Dunlop Q3 tires
GSXR 750 rear shock swap
15 wt fork oil
CB300F mirror swap

Oil done every 3k miles.

A couple hundred shy of 7000 miles.

New rear tire last week (okay it's got 858 miles on it now) and a fresh Mobil 1 4t synthetic oil change as well. Mechanic looked over the whole bike and it is turn key ready to ride.

Clean Nc title in my name in hand.

3700$ cash. Firm on price. Others listing for 4-4200$ currently with less farkles.

Get in touch with me for more detailed photos if you need them. ImageImageImageImage

Ben,
you didn't keep it very long. I know you have a project bike but what are you looking to replace it with?

I've had it right at a year now. Almost.

Got it last April I believe it was.

Anyways, I'm also selling my Tiger. I'm looking at a Street Triple and/or a Concours 1400 (again)

The VFR will be up and in riding condition by May.

The CB is such a great bike for the mountains, and I ride it very well. But I can't seem to make a connection with it, and I'm one of those guys that likes to have a connection with the machine, if that makes sense. Also, I could live with a few more horses under the hood.
I love my Tiger, but the light and small bikes like the CB and the Street Triple are just so easy to ride up in the mountains. And the Connie just walks all over the Tiger for touring and 2 up riding. So I'm struggling to see where the Tiger fits in. There's some changes id like to make to it and that's 1000$ or so, so I thought I'd try to sell it and just get something that already does what I'm looking for.

Have you ridden an R1200GS or Tenere yet? If not, you should give it (them) a try before buying a touring bike. <tour>

I've only sat on them. The BMW doesn't really do it for me.
I do like the Tenere though.

The street triple is top on my list right now, but if a deal on a Connie came along...would be hard to say no to a 155hp land missile. The 400 pound 100 horsepower Striple is even more of a hooligan bike than the Cb500!

Wait... wait!! You had and offer of $3,500 but pushed him to $3,600 and you didn't budge and he wouldn't come up either!?!? Damn!
I sold my Tiger 1050 for some of the same reasons you mention. Mostly I wanted to go touring too. The FJR was the right tool for me. Then after 100,000 on an FJR I found the first Tenere'. [SMILING FACE WITH HEART-SHAPED EYES]
The C-14 is a powerhouse but it is also heavy!
I'm like you in that I have to have a connection with my bike. Go for it! [THUMBS UP SIGN]

I mean the fella didn't even text back after I said 3600$.

My add was the same as here. Firm on price.

Plus I don't like to lose negotiations. Haha!

I'm trying to sell the girl on this one. She says "just buy whatever you think I should ride." That sounds like a trick to me! <poke>

I went thru this stuff when my wife was starting out riding. Yes it is a trick, she needs to have a lot of input before you buy anything. Women---they look at things differently. Don't like the color. Don't like it cause it looks "fat" (wide tank). Too tall (when it really isn't). Too fast. And so on. There IS something to the TOO FAST though. Don't get something with a fast throttle before her wrist neurons and brain get hard-wired. Ride at least 6 months on a "baby-bike" as my wife called them. She almost killed herself on a DL650--it was way too soon for that. <bugeye> I shudda known. But she loved the Virago 250.
