WTB: Looking for a intercom/music system

Unread postby PirateRiderBen » Thu Sep 17, 2015 2:30 pm

Hey all, I recently bought a Schuberth S2 and with its tight neck roll, getting my earbuds on is a pain. So I'm thinking Ito Going back to helmet speakers like I had in my old Shoei. But, it seems Bluetooth coms are the way to go these days. I'm not really digging the 250$ pricing of the new 20s Sena. I was wondering if any of you guys had an older Bluetooth system that you might be willing to part with for, let's say 100$ or less. I've eye balled the Buyee Chinese units on Amazon, but I'm hesitant. Not totally sure of their ability to connect with Sena or other brands like Scala. So, I thought I'd ask. If I could get a name brand that should be better quality for a decent price it might last me longer. I don't have any experience with any of these units first hand, so this is a shot in the dark.

I appreciate any help,

Ben

Don't have one to sell right now, but I think you're wise to stick with Sena. The Sena SMH10 is much less than the 20S though--$160 thru Revzilla!

How is the volume from the speakers? Is it good enough you can hear without having to crank it up all the way?

I wear earplugs plus deaf as a doornail and I can hear it fine. I do run it all the way but if you have decent hearing you can turn it down. But if you get a lot of wind noise, thats a factor.....still should have plenty of power.

I'm not deaf yet, but I like the idea of some custom molded earplugs as wind noise reduction really makes the ride better for me. My schuberth is pretty damn quiet too so it might just work fine.

Deaf or selective hearing? I find both come in handy.
