another SMH-10 post... new helmet speakers

Dunno which of you SMH-10 guys (beside myself) are using the OEM Sena helmet speakers... the upsides are that they're small and flat and hardwired, while the downside is that they have essentially -zero- bass output. I rarely listen to music on the bikes, but even the B2B sound is gutless and tinny (no reflection on the users lol)... the only 'negative' I've found about the Sena setup.

Just swapped mine out with a pair of "Tork X-Pro" speakers, $80 from Amazon:

...using the Sena SMH-A0303 baseplate (normally used with ear buds):

Haven't had a chance to test them with the GMRS yet, but just listening to .mp3s they're a whole bunch better-sounding... for you guys who like music (or use the phone while riding) they might be worth looking into. Not as good as earbuds, but a significant step up from the OEM can-and-string sound.

I noticed they are 32 ohm speakers. Is that same as the Sena's? Is the sound volume output equal to the sena's?

Volume seems better, although the real test (for me) whether they make voices clearer with the GMRS... the earbuds were awesome for that clarity, but I got tired of dicking with the wires after the first ride.
