I ordered a Cee Bailey 24" touring screen for the Tiger from a member of the Tiger1050 forum. 70$ shipped. I'm excited to see A. How well it blocks wind and weather, which is one of the Tigers biggest weaknesses. And B. How God forsakingly ugly this monstrosity of a windscreen will be on my pretty yellow bike. It should be here this week sometime I will post a pic and some updates.

Well here it is installed. It's a barn door as Brick calls them. But wow the difference is huge! Up to about 85mph with minimal noise and buffeting.

I had an oversized Cee Bailey on my FJR and loved it. Touring screens never look good but they sure do make a bike comfortable.

You guys with your Barn Doors... might as well be in a convertible car!

And loving it! Cee Bailey hasn't designed any new windshields since 2013 so the biggest one I could get for my FJ-09 is the Madstad.

But you give up any chance of cooling during these hot months! I too am looking for a quieter windscreen for the FJR and have decided to make an adjustable add-on deflector to the stock screen. After a few test rides, I made an adjustable deflector but now I am without any cooling. I am quietly hot!!!! Your Cee Bailey looks big but I'll bet it works!

If the tiger ends up staying with me, the Cb will be my winter and long trip screen, the MRA being my local run and summer screen.

Looks nice yamadog. But why not just install the taller oem screen--wouldn't that accomplish the same as a lower screen with laminar lips?

This IS the OEM screen! I added it to the tall screen to quiet things down and it took the wind away too. I still have the "summer" screen mounted on the bike now. I have to take a ride with the radios going to see if the "summer" screen will stay. The OEM screen was still noisy in it's stock form so that's why I made the deflector. The deflector will fit the short screen also but what's the point.

Oh. Never mind.

Well, I was able to get out today and so some more road testing of the Cee Bailey. Unfortunately it's not tall enough for me. The buffeting from 60mph and up is very annoying. If I was 3 inches shorter it would be perfect.
Oh the pains of being so damn tall.

Before you buy or make one, you can experiment with the configuration that works best for you. Cut an old plastic trash can into a panel shaped like the top of the windshield, fix it in place using some dual-lok or 2 layers of velcro (or duct tape) to create a gap between the lip and the windshield for air to flow upwards, and try it in different positions and heights. I did just that on my old KLR, worked great--without spending money on something that might not work for me. Finished product looked like this, although I could have been neater if I tried. But it worked really well. Function over form.
