I have now joined the Bluetooth age--for the 2nd and last time. All the stuff on the left was replaced by the gizmo on the right. Amazing, huh? <olfart>

Waiting on a couple of 12V coax cables from RZilla and I should be ready to go by Friday. <bana>

Lee, after reading of so many problems with the 20S I decided to go with the SMH10. The only "real" improvement I could see for the 20S was the smart-phone app. If Sena wanted to, I bet an app could be made to work with the 10 also....

Don, I have been assimilated. And I had 2 R2D2 sessions on the first ride to welcome me, lol. I just restarted the SMH10 (much easier than doing the SR10) and was back up and running in less than a minute. I am pretty sure it has to do with playing music from a cel phone, as it started immediately after pressing the PTT while listening to music. Although I couldn't repeat the scenario.

I thought the 20 was supposed to be cross compatible with other Bluetooth communicators? Whereas the 10 was only compatible with other Sena models ?

Actually there's a add~on update for the smh10 that gives it cross compatibility also.

Here's the description, any SMH10 that has the latest firmware update has this installed.

I guess you mean 'welcome' to the bluetooth age. I just updated the SMH10 with the latest firmware, hoping it *might have a positive effect in curbing the distortion and R2D2 effects that still happen a couple times each ride. You know Sena HAS to know its a real issue, and maybe they will fix it without saying anything, since acknowledging it would be an admission of a problem. They must be taking cues from the motorcycle dealers, i.e. "never seen that before...." <banghd>

Yea just not admitting there is a problem means it doesn't exist. I haven't done the last two updates. My unit seems to work do I hate to mess with it.

Ditto- it's cool that they're adding functionality with each new iteration, but the last couple of updates haven't yielded anything I found essential.

As my hearing seems to be going... going, I thought the added volume with the latest update might help???
