Getting Ready for Cold

Unread postby LeeDavis » Fri Oct 31, 2014 3:48 pm

I've driven the DRZ around town in somewhat cool temps lately and the nekid bike business is NO GOOD! Even moderately chilly wind feels like the great white north trying to blow me off the bike. Here's a picture of a windshield I ordered on someone else's bike. It might not look like it will do much but a windshield of the same size on my KLR makes all the difference.

Also, ordered boots. I don't think my Tour Masters will ever die but I need something more adventure-ish for the DRZ and weather. I settled on Forma Adventures. They're Italian and better known in Europe with a claim to fame of lateral stiffness for protection but fore and aft flexibility allowing one to do wandering around on foot.

Damn... Winter sucks! I moved here to get away from it!!! When ever I think it's bad here I contact one of my sisters or a friend in Ohio. Then I realize just how nice I have it here.
I just love hearing Y'all southerners talk about "going to see the snow"! You can have my share I've had my lifetimes worth!!!
