Mark and I are trying to find single mu350r''s to pair with our Scala Rider bluetooths. Seems the mu350r is just the designation for when they are sold in sets and the mu354r is a single unit. Anyone know if thats true or if there is some other difference between the two designations??? Don't want to buy two till we know they will pair up to the Scala's. Anyone try to pair up their mu350r to a Scala Rider?? Thanks, Philter

According to Amazon, you are correct-->>

Lee paired one with his old Camos bluetooth headset and it worked fine so I see no reason why it shouldn't pair with any headset that supports the B-T profile that it uses. I think its the HF hands free profile.

OK, here's what ya do. Ya order the pair of radios from Wally World and save a few bucks over the single radios, open them up and try one and if it works sell the other to Marc. Everybody wins. If it doesn't work (can't imagine why) you just take the pair back to the closest Wally World for a refund no questions asked--they take anything back at the store level.

I didn't see if you were coming on the ride tomorrow - if you are bring the spare one and I'll write you a check.

Wish I could, I am in the process of building a shed in my yard. {correction, a friend is building a shed in my yard and I am watching and handing him tools and wood} so I am grounded. SOON. It's here and not going anywhere. Have fun.

We'll figure out something. I'll still buy it - maybe you can figure out cost and shipping cost - send me a PM with your mailing info - and I'll mail you a check.

The reason I have not posted anything lately about the MU350's is that the ones I ordered are giving me fits.

I haven't quite figured out what the problem is but the symptoms are that one of the units won't charge correctly with the supplied SPLIT {one charger two ends} if I put the charged battery in the one that won't charge and then charge the other one, they both work fine until they need recharging.

Another time when I turned one of them on, the unit stopped during the self check cycle and would NOT go into normal mode till I took out the battery.

Anyway I found another charger that works and am playing with them to see if one of the charger links was the problem but certainly do not want to bother Mark K with any of this.

As far as linking them to my Scala Rider Q2 pro, I tried once and did not have any luck, but because of these other problems haven't pursued that further. Thanks, Philter

From what you say they are not functioning as intended, period. If you got them from walmart, I'd take them back to a store for a refund and get another pair. There have been issues~~yamadog had to return his due to not pairing and water ingress. The new one works OK but he treats it like it is NOT waterproof.

Or contact Motorola directly for replacements.

Edit: actually I think he went thru 2 bad radios before getting the 3rd one that worked.
