Unread postby Brick » Wed Mar 29, 2017 6:05 pm

Well 6 of us showed up at the Gate... well 5 we met Steve at 181 and Brown Mountain road. Bob, Scott, Ken, Phil, Steve and I ahad a nice romp up through Newland over on Hickory Nut Gap then down 194 over George's Gap up 421 to Mountain City for lunch. A nice place in mountain city... someone else will have to tell you the name. The Snaaake and Cross Mountain road past the lake and up 194 and down 181 again.
The weather was amazing!!!

Good seeing everyone and nice to meet Brick and Phil. It was a great day for a ride and a distraction from the W word. The Tributary is the Name of the restaurant. I was being good so I abstained from the home made desserts.

I addded my pic to Brick's post. Thanks to Brick for leading us all day--really a fun ride and great to just follow and not have to watch the GPS for turns! <olfart>
And good to see a few faces I haven't seen in a while! <welc> Oh yeah, the food was fabulous--great pick Ken.

Lee, you got those pickle jars figured out yet? <pop>

Edit: a 353 mile day for me. You foot-hill-billy's have got it made.

I tallied 396 miles for the day. I'm still trying to figure out timing on the 268 run to limit highway miles when I meet you guys, so sorry for the delay. Great company, glad to see Ken again. What were the names of the Winston / Danbury hooligans you mentioned? I will need to look them up.
