Broz and I met Beachy and Old Gun at the mexi spot in Albemarle for lunch, and afterwards Beachy led us on a fun ride thru Uwharrie, some of it new-to me. The northern sections were nice, more-hillier than the southern parts, and we must have zig-zagged across Uwharrie for quite a while, before the road turned to gravel. At that point, Broz was needing to get back to his office before 4:00 and my post-flu-fatigue was starting to set in too <barf> . So we started making tracks for home and skipped the dirt, wish we had 2-way comm so we cudda told yall what we were up to. Thanks again Beachy--and great to see Old Gun out riding again! <tour>

Good meeting you Jerry. Nice to see you again and ride with you beachy. Hopefully my next ride won't have to go back to the office.

Hey Beachy, you asked about that Uwharrie road I liked---where it turns right off of Pekin Rd, it is called Chip Rd, and after a few miles the name changes to Thickety Creek Rd the rest of the way to where it hits 731. To me its about the best road anywhere in Uwharrie--just wish it was about 30 miles longer lol.

Know the one you mean- one of my faves, too <thumb>

Do you have a route of the new-to-you roads plotted out? ...those half-day-ish Uwharrie rides work out pretty well for me, and the roads are well-suited to my rolling stock.

Here's the latest one I mapped out, the 2nd half anyway is new--haven't ridden it yet though, but it looks neat.
