WhaHoo! Nice ride today. When I got to the Gate station at 10:20AM Lee & Beachy were there telling big lies! I gassed up and went to see if I could learn anything. No learning going on there... just the same tall tells being spread about!

I had suggested Lake Lure/Skyuka Mtn. Lee said let's just go over to Cogent Dynamics to pick up the newly rebuilt DRZ400 shock. So Lee led us at a brisk pace.
While there I got to visit my forks. They are mostly finished but waiting for a spring being manufactured. Apparently Yamaha made the FZ/FJ forks with springs that are tapered at the top. The inside of the fork legs is also tapered. So instead of modifying the legs he is having springs made. It will said be another 1 - 1 1/2 weeks before I can get the forks.
We rode back across 74 to Lake Lure! WhaHoo! Lee says... "you lead, Brick" I say, "Lee you know you won't want to be behind me in these curves"! About that time Lee passes me in a right hand curve! From there it was on... a SUPER run down to Lake Lure! Beachy split off and headed toward home.

No photos were shot during this ride!

I ended up riding 181 miles today.

Very happy to get in a fun ride before the forecast really cold weather, maybe even snow!, gets here. It was a little chilly, from 42 to 52 so I ran heated gear all day. We had a nice visit with the folks at Cogent and since Rick is easily distracted he went on at great length about suspension stuff, which I find most interesting. After leaving Cogent we had lunch at a tasty Mexican place with the unlikely name, "Nachos and Beer" on 74A.

As usual I'm here a day late and a ride short, arrived yesterday afternoon, retrieved my GS. This morning from the guys at International Motorbikes, left my old hAwk gt for some needed refreshing up and now it's snowing, had to go buy a shovel cause I figured Brick wasn't going to come over to dig me out, ha ha Clyde
