Got off to a chilly start, but turned into a great day for tearing around in the woods... Bob, did you grab some pics? Thought I saw you with the camera out at one point or another.

Yep I did get one pic at the Mexi lunch spot--here it is. Great day for a ride, good to see Ed & Ken again and nice to meet his friend Bryan! <rdr>

Uwharrie isn't the "real" mountains but its a nice 4-5 hour getaway with amazingly good sweepers and even an elevation change or 2.

Agreed on the roads- not "the best" by any stretch, but definitely entertaining... and a better partial-day ride than hauling ass over to Old 18 - 181 and back with a dull highway drone to start and finish.

Thanks for the invite. I knew a few of those roads, but learned quite a few new ones. My winter riding used to be west to the S mtns when I lived in NE Gaston county and Lake Lure wasn't that far away. Now I'll be riding more Union/Stanley/Montgomery county roads I guess. 'Til next time!
