Thurs. Nov. 10 ride to.....?

Unread postby LeeDavis » Thu Nov 10, 2016 6:43 pm

Brick and Bob lead is around on a nice make-it-up-as-you-go sort of ride mostly on some of the various roads north of Burnsville. Road crews were paving the final south end of Double Island so that's going to be good and if the darn new shoulder gravel will settle down on NC-80 it'll be killer too. Brick showed up Bob and mine's tired stuff with his new bike, new helmet, new jacket/pants...same ol' Brick though!

Shiny!

It was great fun! I'm loving this new bike, new Scorpion EXO 1200T and the new SENA 20S really works well! [THUMBS UP SIGN]
With Lee's help I've been trying to dial in the "price-point" suspension that comes on the Yamaha FJ-09. It's getting closer but still wants to push in the corners and does not respond well to trail braking into the corners. The difference part is that it is so different from the Super Tenere, I can trail brake it all the way through corners. But NOT the FJ-09... it will stand up and want to drive wide on corners.
Perhaps going back and forth from one bike to the other could give me fits!

Sounds like my Connie. You didn't want to brake it in corners. Glad you guys enjoying the beautiful weather.

Yep, thats a legitimate concern. Back when I had both a GS and an R1200RT I experienced that. Two distinctly different beasts. <olfart>

Trail braking speeds you up.
Everything that spells FUN, will cost a little bit more than you can afford.
