Impromptu 181 lunch run and Vstrom test ride

Unread postby PirateRiderBen » Wed Oct 05, 2016 10:20 am

Well yesterday (Tuesday) I got up early and finished the Cogent suspension install on dad's 2009 Weestrom. Shock went in super easy, took me 45 min maybe.
So why not take a shakedown ride? And why not get lunch? And why not run 181 to Christas for lunch for a awesome prime rib sandwhich?

You see where this is going right?

The sandwhich was great! It was damp and cool up 181 near Pineola, no rain though.

Let me just talk about the transformation the Vstrom went through. NEVER have liked this bike till now. And if I didn't marry myself to my BMW with full Wilbers I'd go buy one probably. For right at 1000$ dad got Cogents DDC fork kit and a Worlds Edge rear shock. The bike basically rides itself now, it's really incredible how fun and easy it torched 181, and on Bridgestone A40 "adventure" tires too.

Anyways I had a blast and a good lunch and thought I would share the success story.

Cheers!

No doubt--suspension is the best money you can spend on farkles. Transformation. Like a whole 'nother bike. <icool>
