First ride up NC80 & North of Burnsville since winter! Yamadog, Beachy, Broz, Ben and I. Well, Broz finked out early due to (what turned out to be) a bad battery. Corrosion/possibly loose cell connector. He just ordered a new Yuasa. Roads were *mostly free of visible crud, except 19W coming back from Erwin, starting at the NC state line, was COVERED (I'm not exaggerating) with f*****g sand. White sandbox sand. For at least 8-9 miles. WTF, NCDOT??? <banghd>

We also hit Coxes Creek, Jacks Creek, and Double Island before heading back down on Crabtree Creek and 226A. Man what a gorgeous day for a ride. Except for the sand. Oh---and did I mention the damn sand?

Q3's are not approved for sand use. Just so everyone is clear.
