Six of us rode about 350 miles. Ed, Broz, Scott, Brick, Twisty and me. Golden Valley NC80 NC226 Double Island NC197 Hughes Gap Roan Mountain and more. A lot happened. It was real fun. Mostly. The mountain roads were mostly clear of crud. You shudda been there. <tour> Lots of pics were taken. <pics> You can see them all right here--2 pages worth--->>> http://pics.cofsta.com/thumbnails.php?album=29

Oh that made me laugh... Vamos Vagabondos!... [SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]

Bummer about Twisties crash!

I ended up with a 245 mile day... That's a bunch less then y'all flat landers!

Just my two cents worth I like the photos of each ride IN the ride write up. I can't easily go see them in the gallery on my iPhone using Tapatalk.
YMMV

Brick, I tried using my Iphone on this thread and it worked pretty well ! The link opened the gallery thumbnail page for the ride pics, one tap enlarged the pic--BUT--do NOT hit the BACK button that you see at the TOP left of the page (it will take you all the way back to the forum). Instead, just tap the little < symbol at the bottom left of the page and you're right back at the thumbnails again. Try it--worked great for me. That being said, I used the gallery only because I was having a lazy moment and wanted to load most of the pics since we had such a long and varied day. <pics>

Edit: One other thing not-to-do is to "Open In Safari" the gallery---that is a royal pain. Just clik the link for the pics on the Tapatalk page.
Also, you can expand the size of the thumbnail page (2-finger drag) and then scroll it left or right, to see better which pics you want to enlarge.

Ok on my iPhone... In the thread you posted the link to the photo's. I just touch it and it opens in Safari... How else do you do it?
I get a page with all the photos from that album. So I touch on one and it enlarges with NO arrows at the bottom to go to the next photo. All I can do is close the enlarged photo which takes me back to the screen with all the images and I select another one touch it and it enlarges.
So what am I doing wrong?

Oh wait if I touch your link for a longer time it gives me the option of opening it in either Safari OR the app.
Still after each viewing of an individual photo it only gives me the option to go back and select another one. Not go on to the next one in order.

Thats how it works for me also. Pretty much same as if you're on a desktop computer, just a smaller screen....

But in Safari, it opens a bunch of different pages which are a pain to navigate.

I think what you are saying is you are missing the small "filmstrip" that runs under the pics. I tried viewing them with the iphone and the filmstrip option seemed much worse for me--almost impossible to touch the tiny arrow that advances the film strip. But I will change it back to see if it works better for you...give it a try. I usually access it from my desktop anyway.

No what I'm saying is I like them IN the post... You can type notes above or below. It allows replies with comments on each photo and text.
I guess I think of the Gallery as a photo album OR a storage place not a place to put photos of a ride while telling a story of a ride.

OK. Let's keep them in the ride reports, but maybe put some extras in the gallery with a link to them in the ride reports..? <olfart>
