10-14-15 Ride to Lake Lure and beyond

Yamadog and I rode the Lake Lure Exressway and met up with the FNG "Griff" at Larkins On The Lake for lunch. It was "ok", nothing to write home about, kinda wish Debbie hadn't closed up her BBQ place over there! Then we rode up White Oak Mtn, to Saluda, Mountain Page Rd and up old 25 to Pinacle Mtn Rd--which kinda sucked. The chip and seal was grainy, I don't remember it being like that last time up there. Then back thru Saluda and down Green River Cove Rd. (fresh asphalt!) and home. Carolina blue skies and mid-70's, couldn't ask for more. Except maybe free gas. <grin>

I even snapped a pic on White Oak Mtn. to prove it happened!

I came home from working in Greer Wednesday afternoon, and made a wrong turn to wind up at Skyuka overlook around 17:00. Must have just missed you guys!
