Five of us ventured into the highlands in search of fall colors--Brick, Yamadog, Lee, Phil (the FNG) and me. We took 181 and then the BRP over to Blowing Rock. The leaves were doing their thing along the Linn Cove Viaduct on the Parkway. After BBQ at Woodlands, we checked out the colors on Meat Camp Rd., NC88, George's Gap, and 194 over to Banner Elk. Then we took 181 back down the mountain to Morganton and headed for home. The sky was Carolina Blue with nary a trace of particulate matter in the air. (it was severe clear). Great weather for a great ride with great company!
