June 29 Ride to the boonies

Unread postby Bob » Tue Jun 30, 2015 6:06 pm

Yamadog, his friend Harold, and I had a great COOL ride. It never got above 76F all the way to Morganton and then going up 181 it actually got a little nippy. We stopped at Los Acoiris Mexican in Pineola where it was around 68F. After lunch the temps stayed in the mid 70's the whole day. We hit Old Beech Mtn Rd, Georges Gap from north to south, Old US421, NC88, Three Top Rd, stopped in Todd to refresh, and then took NC16 back home. Even in the flatlands it was only 84F and low humidity. A rare day this time of year. Fun ride, great company! Only took a couple pics.
