Took some triangle riders I know around the hills this past weekend. We managed to miss 99.5% of the rain.

NC80 from the Carolina Hemlocks area gas station to road that takes you to the trash facility is being resurfaced. It'll be good in a week or so but right now it's only paved on one lane for most of that 3-4 stretch and the traffic during the week can have long delays. Be warned.

Also 197 N of Red Hill has new pavement.

Thanks for the heads-up. How far north does the new pavement go on 197? Hoping it's asphalt.... <pop>

Last time I was up there the new pavement on 197 stopped after that turn off where the big truck go. So probably only 3-4 miles.

197 surface was redone from Red Hill to the bridge at Harrell Hill. It's not long, but was very overdue. I found Harrell Hill because that section of 197 by the Vulcan plant was so beat up it was unrideable.

Harrell Hill was the cut over while the bridge was out on 197. It's a GREAT road!
