Fri. 10-25 First Foothills Ride of the season

Broz, Tim (maglia nera), 007 (Sand. Steve Sand.) and I met north of Charlotte and headed up Brushy Mtn. Rd. to Wilkesboro where we partook of the (sort of) delicious cuisine at Ted's Kickin Chickn. Tim headed back to Charlotte after lunch.

We then took a 164 mile route thru the foothills that looked like this:

By the time we made it to Halfway Hardware, 007 was so stoked over Old 18 that he made a reverse run back up it to Morganton before heading home to Winston-Salem. Broz & I continued back to the gridlock and were both home around 6PM. The weather was gorgeous! Chilly but gorgeous. <muaha>

I didn't realize the ride report was separate from the ride planning thread (typical FNG stuff). Glad to be introduced to the gang and some new roads.
