Friday 10-18 Leaves, BBQ, & Shady Valley

Broz, Yarbi, Ducatibob, and I headed up 181 to mingle with the leaf-gawkers along the Linn Cove Viaduct. After about 3 minutes of gawking we were ready to GTF outta there and eat some Q, so we rode on up to Woodlands BBQ in Blowing Rock. After lunch, Yarbi & Ducatibob headed back down the mtn. for "other engagements" (what could possibly be more important than riding in the mtns?) Broz and I continued down Schulls Mill Rd thru George's Gap, Mountain City, then over the "Snake" (US421) to Shady Valley. After a brief stop there, we took Cross-Mountain Rd. back to TN67, around Watauga Lake over to Beech Mtn. Rd. to Elk Park, and finally down 181 and OLD 18. This was Broz's ride--he led, I followed. It was GREAT!!
