Tues. Cars to Big Ass Rock

Unread postby Bob » Wed Apr 05, 2023 2:08 pm

Yesterday afternoon Scott and I made a short unplanned run up 221 to Blowing Rock, stopping at the world famous Big Ass Rock to marvel at this Unesco World Heritage Site. Amaaaazing. Also did Schulls Mill/Clarks Crick/194.

Absolutely a Big Ass Rock!! Hate to miss this... ...but, new wheels installed to Veloster and stock wheels taken to HickoryRimRepair to get trued up (for alternate tires?). Later in the day thru night my billiards team won our division so we advance.

Just discovered a new chip in windshield after getting one repaired yesterday. Will have to stop following too close.

New wheels! Pic is from Discount Tire; they have an online utility that shows you your car with whatever wheels you're pondering.

Same diameter, though the offset and width are a little different than stock. Stock = 18x7.5 53offset, New = 18x8.5 40offset.
