Ride Friday 10/11/13

Unread postby Brick » Sat Oct 12, 2013 12:35 pm

Whoa it was a great ride yesterday! There were only 3 of us, Phil Hazel (who ride with us once out of 1/2way hardware & Francisco) we met in North Wilksboro and rode 18 up and a few choice back roads to 80. Now for you curve cowboys 80 is a must do all the way to the KY border where Breaks Interstate park is located. Image then after lunch I took them on a NICE loop that starts just out of Haysi Va then Phil plugged home into his GPS and took us on a most interesting selection of back roads until we got back on 80. I ended up with a 400 mile day and just had a HOOT! Sorry y'all missed it! Oh btw I got home at 8:40PM so you all would have been even later.

Which state is hwy 80 in? Or is that a "US" hwy? Yep, I had calculated I would get home around 10PM, based on the level of twisties I anticipated. But probably even later if you were 8:40! I enjoyed the ride up to the Breaks at the Johnson City MSTA rally 2 yrs ago, neat roads up there. And THANKS for the invite also! <joecool>

Edit: OK, I see 80 in TN. Looks like a hoot.
