Bob and me did another afternoon working around rain. Plenty of wet spots - OK with cars - would have been crap for bikes. Part of our route was a fun loop out of Jefferson. Give it a try if you're in the area. Very twisty Old Hwy 16 from Jefferson to the VA state line, then Grassy Cr Rd over to the good part of US-58. Exit on Helton Cr Rd then 194 down to 88. Here's a Google Map. https://goo.gl/maps/7cZBUAwLzZEcx9js8

I'd forgotten how twisty Old 16 was--great to ride some "new" roads for a change. Well it seemed new. Going home I took US221 from B-rock to 181 and stopped at Big Ass Rock for a pic.

I learned old 16 a few months ago. Much less traffic than 194 from 58 into W Jefferson.

Maybe we’ll get a break in the rain and get to ride MCs soon!

I road old 16 from Mouth of Wilson a couple weeks ago. Wanted to go by the ole homestead. Some parts have been repaved and that took a lot of the bumps away. Once tree season starts in early October the road will be covered in mud and tree parts.
