March 2, 2022 ride
Posted: Thu Mar 03, 2022 9:05 amAn unusually warm day for early March saw 5 of us Old Farts ride out of the Gate station around 10:44. Bob, Scott, Lee, Phil and I rode over to Marion and up NC 80. The rides, for early March, were mostly clear. It felt so good to be out on the bike! Lunch at Home Place in Burnsville was yummy! Dan and Ken joined us at Home Place and for the ride after. Ken led us on a nice ride north of Burnsville which included Bug Brush Creek a loop off of Double Island which I had never ridden before. As we linked back to Double Island a single wide mobile home drove past which changed our route. I have no idea how that mobile home made it around those curves!!
All in all an excellent days ride.
