January 25, 2022 ride

Damn nice day for a January ride. Scott, Phil and I rode out of the Gate gas station in Morganton around 11:30 AM the temperature was around 46 degrees. We headed south on Old NC 18 where we saw some signs of sand and a dusting of the brine that NC sprays on the roads. Again the most ice on the road was on Belvidere Lane where I live. Stopped for lunch at Barleys Tap Room and Pizza… yummy. We saw a high temperature of 61 degrees.

Temps were great--sorry I missed it. Was there less chemicals on the roads the further south you went?

I guess… the more hills and curves the more possibilities of chemicals and sand.
