Ride Tuesday April 28th

Bob, Scott and I met at the usual Gate station North Green Street Morganton. We have been riding a lot and so have been searching to ride a route that we haven’t ridden recently.
Bob to the rescue. He mixed some great roads through Crossnore and Minneapolis, NC. Then up Old Beach Mtn Road which has some amazing views since the leaves have not come out on the trees up there yet. Up 321 and around Watauga Lake to Mtn City. After a stop for gas it was a beautiful ride across the Snake where we ate out picnic lunch on separate picnic tables. Not many others there. But as we were leaving 7 cruisers came in. We took the Cross Mountain Road and back around Watauga Lake again. We ended the ride with a little over 200 miles.

And the weather was fantastic. A tad chilly in spots but great. In Mtn City I didn't notice any signs of life at restaurants yet, but there may be.....
