So I got off my volunteer gig early and Bob and I headed out around 11:20ish.

We found good clean roads and damp/wet roads with sand and other crap. However... we were riding and I loved it. The Relive app shows 145 miles but before and after I know I got close to a 200 mile day.

That app is quite neat but it still annoys the crap outta me. I want to be able to slow it down, stop it, reverse it, zoom it, etc. Plus where does it come up with some of those landmarks I've NEVER heard of...??

Glad you guys had a good ride. I left LS around 11:30 for points west. I tried to select roads that had Southern exposure to minimize the wet factor; Paint Fork, Big Laurel, etc. and avoided 19W near the state line because we all know what a sandbox that is in the winter. Great day for a ride in the middle of winter. Reality sets in Saturday.

FWIW, it looks like they are prepping the Madison county side of Paint Fork for resurfacing. Yee Haaa, I love that road.
