2/7... not the Snake...

Unread postby Brick » Thu Feb 07, 2019 8:57 pm

So I got off my volunteer gig early and Bob and I headed out around 11:20ish.
Check out 2/7... up the Mtn! on Relive! https://www.relive.cc/view/rt10003412365

We found good clean roads and damp/wet roads with sand and other crap. However... we were riding and I loved it. The Relive app shows 145 miles but before and after I know I got close to a 200 mile day.

BTW... we missed all y’all!

That app is quite neat but it still annoys the crap outta me. I want to be able to slow it down, stop it, reverse it, zoom it, etc. Plus where does it come up with some of those landmarks I've NEVER heard of...?? <olfart>

Glad you guys had a good ride. I left LS around 11:30 for points west. I tried to select roads that had Southern exposure to minimize the wet factor; Paint Fork, Big Laurel, etc. and avoided 19W near the state line because we all know what a sandbox that is in the winter. Great day for a ride in the middle of winter. Reality sets in Saturday.

FWIW, it looks like they are prepping the Madison county side of Paint Fork for resurfacing. Yee Haaa, I love that road.
