So just how lucky are we?? Go a couple hundred miles north and everyone is shivering under the polar vortex. But not us Olde phartz. We had a blast in perfect 60F'ish weather. Scott, Brick, Beachy, and I headed around Lake James and up 80 to Burnsville for a burger at Bubbas. Man it was tasty. Then Brick led us up Jacks Creek, Harrell Hill, and a bunch of other fantastic roads with really neat winter views. The last stop was on Joe Johnson Rd just off 181 for a view to the west of the black mtns and Mt Mitchell--wish I had my binocs with me. Scott and I finished it up with a run down Old 18. What a great day to ride!! <squid>

Wish I had cleaned my Iphone camera lens prior to taking the pics--kinda fuzzy/hazy. But you get the idea.

It was a great day to ride! Image

I tried to take group selfie. I was squinting into the sun.

For the most part the roads were clear. However NC80 on the other side of the BRP had lots of sand and crap. The rest up there were very clean.
