Fri. 6-28 to Christa's, Roan Mtn, etc

Broz, Scott, Yarbi, and I met at the Halfway and then rode Old 18 and 181 to lunch at Christa's. After lunch we checked out some back roads between 194 & 19E, and came upon this huge solar array. Someone is living off the grid-->>

From there we took 19E to Roan Mtn., TN and then up the mtn. from north to south--it was CHILLY on top-->>

Then it was over to Double Island Rd. where we hit a patch of rain. Clouds were starting to build and after consulting the wx radar we decided it would be a good time to head for lower elevations, so we took NC80 to Marion, then slabbed it to Morganton and took Old 18 back towards home. Home by 6PM, a nice but shortened day. Stayed dry pretty much all day.
