What a great ride!!

Yesterday Scott and I took 181/194/88 to Lansing NC for some tasty pizza from Pie On The Mountain. Proscuitto and sausage--sorry no food pic but it shore was good. Then we rode north and picked up US58 to Damascus, then down to Shady Valley, the Snake over to Mtn City, and then the lake route around Watauga to get back up to Beech Mtn Rd. Finished it all off with a romp down Old 18. The sky was "painfully blue" (look at those pics), it was so clear, one of those rare days! And never got above 74 in the high country, staying in the 60's mostly. Gorgeous day, roads were all in perfect shape, esp. 58. U shudda been there. <tour>

It really was a perfect set of roads except for a small stretch where they were putting tar and gravel on a road that did not need it.
