I had an appointment with the Orthopedic guy at the VA in Asheville today so I rode. I had extra time on the way over to Asheville so I took some good roads. After Bat Cave I found myself on NC9 so why not ride down to see if I could see the land slide area. When I got there they had signs up that said One Lane Road. WhaHoo! So I rode on through. Dirt and gravel still on the road. But they are getting it done. There are still the giant dump trucks moving lots of dirt. There is a flagger at each end and apparently the completely close the road at night. It is an amazing amount of dirt that came down and has been moved. [THUMBS UP SIGN]

I usually ride the bike to assorted doctor appts. My Boone GP is a nice drive, the Hickory specialists not so much but it beats the cage!
