Sport Touring in the Woods

I rode with Appalachian Adventure Trail Riders in and around the Max Patch area for the last couple days. Those guys know what they're doing so I was hanging by a thread. What helped and saved me was riding towards the back so I could watch them them negotiate obstacles before doing it myself. When possible, one guy would go through whatever it was then park his bike and station himself at the most likely spot in the obstacle where things could go south.

We did countless water crossings. Some were pretty deep with big rocks below the surface that you couldn't see! This is exiting at the bank of Hurricane Creek.

Yep, if it was me I'd be at the very back of the pack. Any vids? Looks pretty cool.
