Get home and take a close look at the tires, front tire is toast at 1800 miles--TWI's at outer edges are flush with tread surface. 'Maybe' one more 200 mile 'gentle' ride left but that might be pushing it. So much for Bridgestone Battlax's. Rear tire looked good, 4-5mm tread left. PR4 on order. The sooner I can eliminate that CLT to Morganton "commute", the better.

"Fastest wearing tire to date
I have had two sets of BT021 on two Triumphs, and ST 1050 and a GT. They handle well in both wet and dry and give great feel when new. Steering is light and the bike is nimble
However, lifespan is very short around 6000 miles. When the front gets to about 50% worn the steering becomes very heavy and the bike wants to turn in harder than you do and they follow every bit of unevenness in the road. A set of Pilot Powers on the ST out lasted the 021s by almost 4000 miles.
