Camping On Craig Creek

Unread postby LeeDavis » Thu Mar 29, 2018 11:03 am

I finished outfitting my KTM 500 as an adventure bike and it finally warmed up a little so I could try camping off the bike. There are lots of good spots along Craig Creek up in Pisgah.

The bike is loaded for bear.

Gear and campsite all set up. Looking good!

My concoction of "Hot & Spicy" ramen noodles with canned chicken breast cooked in filtered water from Craig Creek. Not bad for camp food and it didn't kill me.

Night!

You're posting this so obviously you didn't get eaten by bears. Congratulations! <muaha>

So... we know you went camping but did you like it? Oh and did you hear banjo music?

Yeah, out in the woods, communing with nature, getting in touch with my inner pioneer...it was fun.

No humans and I only heard one critter rustling around after dark and it sounded more possumish than bearish. I had my hatchet stashed next to my sleeping bag, just in case.
