First things first... Lee and Greg wimped out and MISSED out. :)
Bob threw me a rope and rolled from my driveway around 9:45. We cut across Lincoln County, Casar, Golden Valley, up 226, across Camp Creek to Union Mills and some back roads I know into Lake Lure. Beachy and his friend Skip met us at Ingles where for lack of any better idea, we lunched in the Ingles deli. Food was plentiful, cheap and tasty, excellent choice Bob.
Everywhere west of 226 was sunny and windy. Roads were dry. Skyuka was a mine field of branches, leaves and rocks, but still a blast. You could see to Kings Mtn and Greenville from the top. And you could have hand launched a 747 into the wind!!!
Bob has a picture which hopefully he will post.
We did Holbert Cove Rd and all sorts of Rutherford County stuff. A great day was had by all. Lee and Greg definitely missed out. Guess I said that already.
