Robbinsville and The Dragon

Greg texted me Friday afternoon saying lets ride to Robbinsville so off we went early Saturday morning. Had a fun ride to get there and since it was mid afternoon we decided traffic would be OK for a run down Cherohala and back. It worked out good. We had supper at a new to me place, The Moonshiner, that's next to the Two Wheel Inn. They have a license to serve alcohol so I had a couple beers - a first for me in Robbinsville.

Because of our late planning the only rooms we could find were suites at the Mountain Manor. Pretty hiliarious - I felt like I as moving into an apartment.

Sunday morning we headed out 7:00 and got to do Joyce Kilmer/129/The Dragon/28 loop before any other traffic. Nice!

Very nice--lucky to find ANYTHING over there that close to arrival. Bald River Falls, nice little side trip and very scenic.
