Sunday Ride 7-9-2017

Charles, Ryan, and I had a great ride around Stone Mountain NC. We stopped by Freebornes for lunch before making the trek north up the Blueridge Parkway. Tried a new road "Haystack Road" that runs between Hwy 89 and 21 around the Ravens Gap area. Glad to hear Bob is all right after deer encounter. Yep, he was born in Deep Gap NC NW of Wilkesboro. Theres a sculpture of him sitting on a bench on the street in downtown Boone. Merlefest is named after his son Merle Watson.
