Dropping my FJ-09 forks off...

Unread postby Brick » Mon Dec 12, 2016 5:30 pm

The new Cogent Dynamics shock made such a difference in the bikes handling that I decided to go ahead and take the forks to Rick and Ken to see what they come up with for options.
Tomorrow after my VA appointment to finish my Agent Orange registry I will see what they think.

It's a good bet that Rick has a solution to offer <thumb>

I always do my own fork work, but I'm a cheap f*ck that way <olfart>

Rick called today to discuss what he found when they put the forks on the dyno and upon opening them. I will have options and it looks like I will have adjustable compression damping in one fork and adjustable rebound damping in the other. Springs twill be ordered.
He is still working on coming up with an option that will allow FJ-09 owners to get a shock and spring update for under $1,000... not Including labor.

Worth every penny. Both the VFR and CB500X now have 3 way adjustable forks with compression in the left leg and rebound in the right. This is after starting with only preload adjustability on the VFR and none on the CB.
