Big oil spill in Old 18

Unread postby Brick » Thu Dec 01, 2016 8:09 pm

I rode today (can't make tomorrow's ride) and after Gary Lackey left us to ride home from South Mountains he fell down. On Old 18 south of South Mountains there was this big oil spill. Image

He said the oil spill was a mile long! He couldn't see it because the sun was in his face! So he could not see it!

Be careful out there!

BTW... had a fun ride today!

He said he would be sore tomorrow but ok. The GS has scratched crash bars and bar ends. And broken windshield.

Damn that sux. He's lucky he didn't slide into the path of an oncoming vehicle. Thanks for letting us know about the oil slick.

Hope he is OK. I'm curious where these come from. There are better places to dump loads of oil.

Yea I saw Gary today at the Knobbies Xmas party. He is a little bruised but fine. His GS low sided then caught and high sided him the other way. He is lucky and the bike has a broken mirror and scratches on both right and left crash bars and something on one side of his wind screen.
