Hazy but fine. I've been in Raleigh lately a lot so I haven't really been bothered by it

We can see the smoke from our house but it will have to go over I40 and through Morganton to get to our house. [THUMBS UP SIGN]

Brick, how are the current fires affecting our choice of riding areas--any that we need to avoid? Looking at Weds or Thurs for a ride.

FWIW, my car travels the past 5 days would lead me to share that anything around Lake Lure is off limits. North of I-40 to Avery, Mitchell and Yancey counties are good as are counties towards Boone and the High Country. Western Madison, Haywood, and Jackson counties have fires burning too. I Drove from Newport TN to Hot Springs NC Sat and they were using Helicopters to pick up water for fires burning nearby. I haven't heard of any fires north into VA either.

With I could you join you guys. Busy work week, maybe Friday. It's supposed to be 70!

I say avoid Lake Lure and South Mountains areas. That removes old 18... Sunday we had lots of smoke all the way from Lenoir to Morganton.

That being said I intend on riding somewhere Thursday or Friday. It's supposed to be like 74 here! [THUMBS UP SIGN]

We're still getting a lot of smoke here in the NW corner of Gaston county.

Lee and I left Cogent Dynamics today and rode 74 down to Lake Lure. 9 north and the rest of the way through Lake Lure were closed. We got to ride back up and over the Mtn on 74! Smoke was pretty bad there.
